The Origin
A metalsmith with an Oura ring, and a problem.
Brooke wore her Oura every day for the data — sleep, recovery, activity — and took it off every time she wanted to look put-together. Weddings. Client meetings. Anywhere the tech-look didn't belong.
Ring stacks didn't fix it. The Oura always announced itself. So she made something else: a jacket, cast in precious metal, set with stones by hand, sized to fit the ring exactly. A fine jewelry setting for the tech you already wear.
That was the first Smart Ring Jacket. The category didn't exist before it.
Meet Brooke Jensen
Metalsmith. Designer. Founder.
Brooke has spent years working precious metals by hand. In 2022 she founded Perma-Chain, a fine jewelry studio in Minot, specializing in permanent jewelry and custom metalwork. Smart Ring Jackets grew directly out of that studio, and every design still passes through her bench.
She handles CAD, silversmithing, stone selection, and the bezel-setting on every finished piece. If the aesthetic feels considered, that's why.
Meet Shane Jensen
The other half of the studio.
Shane handles casting and finishing — pouring the metal, filing the raw pieces, polishing them to the finish you receive. He came to the bench from years in construction, and brought with him the belief that whether you're framing a house or setting a stone, the small details are the whole thing.
Between the two of them, every jacket is touched by exactly two pairs of hands from start to shipping.

The Studio

Brooke moved from Minnesota to Minot in 2014 with Shane and their two daughters. Everything ships from a home studio here — one bench, two people, no outsourced production.

Born out of Perma-Chain.
Smart Ring Jackets is a line from Perma-Chain, the fine jewelry studio Brooke founded in 2022. The same techniques — lost-wax casting, hand-finishing, hand-set stones — the same bench, the same standards.
